Jennifer Shortridge

Senior Planner & Designer

Jennifer has worked in the event and hospitality industry for the past decade, and started her career at the prestigious Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.  As part of the pre-opening team at the Sand Hill location in Menlo Park, she catered to a wide variety of clients with distinct and nuanced needs.  Jennifer was responsible for executing everything from detailed rehearsal dinners and engagement parties to high-end business meetings for VC companies like Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers; Andreesen Horowitz; Greylock Partners and Accel-KKR. As the head of the restaurant’s private dining group, Jennifer was an active team member at Madera when it earned its first Michelin Star.

In 2011 Jennifer joined the world of catering. As the head of the wedding department at Global Gourmet Catering, a company focused on restaurant-quality service and dedicated to local, seasonal and sustainable food, she spent more than three years designing and planning weddings alonside some of the most sought after wedding professionals in the Bay Area.  At Global Gourmet she was responsible for menu planning, logistics and event creative direction.  From selecting linens to designing table settings and lighting, Jennifer knows that no detail is too small to warrant her full attention.  Thanks to years of planning more than fifty events annually, she is exceptionally adept at the quick thinking and problem solving skills required in planning fabulous weddings. She thinks nothing is more glamorous than a beautiful charger and her favorite part of every wedding is seeing her clients’ faces light up when they meet at the end of the aisle.  She still can’t believe she gets to wake up and call herself a wedding planner every day.

In her down time, Jennifer enjoys a good glass of Rosé, reading up on the latest wedding trends and entertaining friends and family alongside her boyfriend Robert in their Cow Hollow home.  She is an avid Giants fan, a karaoke league champion (yes, it’s a thing!), and a self proclaimed Tom Hanks aficionado.  She can be regularly found at Ottimista Enoteca for the perfect rustic pizza, Piccino Café for her almond milk lattes and on Union Street for her favorite yoga classes.
